What is the NovaStar T10 Plus?
The NovaStar T10 Plus is the smallest bare-board player in the Taurus range: 136.5 mm by 110.5 mm by 18.0 mm, 114.1 g, and it drives up to 650,000 pixels of LED screen from a single Gigabit output while storing and playing the content itself.
Order one when your product is small and built in numbers: shop-window boards, shelf edges, lamp-post banners, drive-through menus, door-head signs. Your cabinet is shallow, your quantity is high, and every millimeter inside the housing is spoken for.
NovaStar released it in 2025, so it is newer than the rest of this range. That brings you some things the older boards do not have and leaves out some things they do, and you want to know which is which before you choose it.
NovaStar T10 Plus key features
Twenty small moving zones on one screen
Your menu board with a price panel, a clock, a weather strip and a promo loop is really several videos at once, and this board plays twenty of them at 360p. The older, larger boards in the range stop at six, which is where a layout like that starts dropping zones.
Step the sizes up and your count falls the way you would expect: four at 720p, two at 1080p, one at 4K. Fit your layout to those numbers rather than to the pixel total.
The only Plus player that can switch a circuit
A two-pin dry contact on this board opens and closes a circuit you provide, up to 30 V DC at 3 A, on the schedule you set in software. Neither boxed player in the Plus family has one.
It switches a control circuit, not the cabinets themselves: 3 A at 12 V is 36 watts, and your screen draws that many times over. NovaStar’s published method has those pins drive a solid-state relay with its own 3 V to 30 V supply, and that device carries the live wire. Two sensor ports sit alongside for a light sensor such as the NS060-5A.
Content is tied to the player it was published to
NovaStar builds terminal authentication and player verification into this generation, so your material published to one screen is not simply lifted onto another. Across a fleet of identical signs that is the difference between a network you control and a set of boxes anyone can copy.
It also means your login password matters. Record it at commissioning: a factory reset is the alternative, and it takes your cabinet configuration with it.

What 650,000 pixels actually buys you
Two limits govern this board and the smaller one usually bites first. The total is 650,000 pixels, and neither side of an ordinary screen may exceed 2048.
In practice that covers most of what you would buy this board for. A 1024×512 shop-window banner is 524,288 pixels and fits comfortably. A 960×640 menu board is 614,400 and just fits. A 1920×480 window strip is 921,600 and does not.
Long thin screens get a separate allowance of 8192 pixels wide by 2048 high, still inside the 650,000 total, so a very wide ticker is possible where a tall rectangle of the same pixel count is not.
Cross either line and you are into the 3rd-generation boards, which double the total and take each side to 4096. Your direct step up is the T30, and it needs a larger cutout, so check the housing before you assume a straight swap.
Newer does not mean bigger here
This board is the most recent design in the range and deliberately the smallest, which gives you a specification that reads oddly if you expect newer to mean better across the board.
It has more memory than the larger boards: 2 GB against their 1 GB, which is where the twenty simultaneous zones come from. It also plays more small videos at once than any of them.
It has less of most other things. One screen output rather than two or four, a hundred-megabit control port rather than a gigabit one, USB 2.0 rather than 3.0, a 1.4 GHz processor rather than 1.8, and half the pixel ceiling.
So treat the two families as different jobs rather than as a ladder. Choose this board when your product is small and made in numbers; choose a 3rd-generation board when your screen itself is the demanding part.
T10 Plus, TB10 Plus or TB20 Plus
All three are the same generation and the same electronics. You are choosing between a board you build in and a box you mount, and whether your screen needs a live input.

Order the T10 Plus if you are building the enclosure yourself, or if something on site has to be switched on a schedule — it is the only one of the three with a relay contact.
Order the TB10 Plus if you are fitting a player to a screen somebody else built, and the TB20 Plus if that screen also needs a live HDMI source.

Publish to your board with ViPlex Express on Windows, with the ViPlex Handy app over its own wireless hotspot, or from VNNOX when the screen is somewhere you cannot reach. The USB socket takes a drive between 2 GB and 128 GB, formatted FAT32 or NTFS, with no single file of yours reaching 4 GB.
Keep your login password and your cabinet map from commissioning. Because this generation verifies the player against the content, recovering a board without them means a factory reset and a rebuild, and a spare board on the shelf will not save you that.

How big a screen will one T10 Plus drive?
650,000 pixels, with neither side passing 2048. A long thin display may run to 8192 pixels wide inside the same total.
Why does it have more memory than the larger boards?
Because it is a newer design. Its 2 GB is what lets it decode twenty 360p videos at once, against six on the 3rd-generation boards, which suits multi-zone menu and information layouts.
Can it take a live HDMI source?
No. There is no video input on any 10-series player. The TB20 Plus is the model in this generation that adds one, and it comes in a case rather than as a board.
Does it have a light sensor input?
Yes, two RS485 ports that take a light sensor or a temperature and humidity sensor. The TB10 Plus supports sensors too; the TB20 Plus datasheet does not list them.
Is the control port gigabit?
No. The control port is Fast Ethernet at 100 Mbit; only the screen output is Gigabit. Publishing a large playlist over the network takes longer than it would on a 3rd-generation board.
What voltage does it need?
Anything from 5 V to 12 V DC, drawing at most 15 W, so it can usually share the supply already inside your housing.
Can it keep step with other screens?
Yes, with players on the same platform. NovaStar states that models from different generations must not be mixed in one synchronized group, so pair it with other Plus-family players rather than with older units.
What happens if I lose the player password?
A factory reset is the only route back, and it clears the screen configuration with it. Because this generation verifies content against the player, record the password and keep the cabinet map from commissioning.
What warranty covers a T10 Plus?
Three years of serial-tracked manufacturer coverage, because these boards come through our authorized US NovaStar channel.
Can I get volume pricing or Net 30 terms?
