What is the NovaStar MX_2xHDMI2.1 Input Card for?
Choose this card when two HDMI 2.1 playback or graphics sources need to enter one IN slot of NovaStar MX2000 Pro or MX6000 Pro. The signal path is source → input card → MX chassis → output card, receiving cards and LED wall.
It is an input card, not a controller or LED-output expansion: two HDMI connectors do not create two LED outputs, increase wall pixel capacity or make an unsupported receiving card compatible.

Two HDMI-native playback devices or graphics sources can stay separate at the input stage for VMP layer assignment before they continue through the MX chassis to the output-card and receiving-card path. Confirm both forced 8K30 modes and the two 5 m HDMI 2.1 routes before a live event.
The input card consolidates source ingest; it does not decide LED-side capacity or create a second output path.
MX_2xHDMI2.1 vs MX_4 HDMI2.0, dual DP and the mixed input card
Choose MX_2xHDMI2.1 for two HDMI 8K30-class sources. Choose MX_4 HDMI2.0 for four HDMI 4K60-class sources, MX_2xDP1.4 for DP sources, or the mixed card for one DP plus one HDMI source. The choice is source connector and mode, not LED output count.
