What is the NovaStar MX_4 10G Fiber Output Card-M for?
This card gives a modular MX controller four optical distribution legs for a 1G COEX design. It does not turn the controller into four new video processors or replace the CVT10/receiving-card endpoint hardware.

The shared 10G table documents multimode transmission to 300 m. This suits a local machine room, stage or nearby building route when the installed fiber, SFP+ optic, connectors and loss budget are confirmed; do not use the number as a substitute for the route survey.

Choose four 10G legs when the endpoints are separate 1G/CVT10 zones. Choose a 1x40G card only when the design is a 5G/CVT8-5G path. The number of fiber links is secondary to the receiver architecture.

No. NovaStar documents the 4x10G output card as the 1G solution with CVT10 or CVT10 Pro and 1G receiving cards.
How many cabinet Ethernet paths can one card support?
Up to 40 logical 1G Ethernet-port outputs are documented: ten per 10G optical port. Every one still has to stay inside the relevant per-port load limit.
Can every 1G receiver use 10-bit at 60 Hz at the higher 494,791-pixel limit?
No. The higher 10-bit value is documented only with A10s Pro or A8s Pro. Identify the receiving card before setting the port map.
How far can multimode fiber run?
300 m maximum, according to the shared 10G output-card table. Confirm the actual SFP+ optic, fiber plant, connector condition and loss budget for each of the four legs.
Can this card and a 1x40G card drive one screen together?
No. The modular MX documentation allows different card types in a host but says 1G and 5G Ethernet-port bandwidths cannot load the same screen.
