BrightSign XC2055 is a multi-output digital signage player for DVLED, video wall and multi-screen playback that needs two HDMI outputs and PC-class graphics. Choose the XC2055 when one BrightSign player must run two HDMI outputs, a single 8K-class canvas or dual 4K-style screens with stronger HTML and graphics performance than XT.

What is BrightSign XC2055?

The BrightSign XC2055 is the two-output XC5 player for multi-screen digital signage, DVLED source playback and video wall content. It supports multi-headed output, PC-class graphics performance, BrightSignOS or Windows IoT options, and a full multiplex I/O package with HDMI outputs, USB, serial, GPIO, IR, Ethernet and local storage.

BrightSign XC2055 key features

  • Two HDMI outputs for dual-screen signage, two-output video walls and wide-canvas content paths
  • XC5 graphics platform for PC-class HTML, OpenGL and richer visual workloads than standard signage players
  • Single 8K-class or dual-output 4K-style planning, depending on the presentation design and downstream hardware
  • BrightSignOS or Windows IoT configuration options, selected according to the project software environment
  • USB-A, USB-C, serial, GPIO, IR, Ethernet and local storage for enterprise AV and signage integration

Where the BrightSign XC2055 makes sense

Two-output DVLED sourceUse XC2055 when one player should feed two compatible processing inputs for a coordinated LED canvas or two-zone display.
Enterprise dashboard wallRun high-detail data, graphics and browser-style content on a dedicated XC player instead of maintaining a general-purpose PC.
Dual-screen retail experienceDrive a pair of synchronized displays for product storytelling, branded content or immersive showroom playback.
PC alternative for signageChoose XC2055 when the project wants PC-class graphics and OS flexibility, but still values BrightSign-style appliance reliability.

Can the BrightSign XC2055 be used with an LED wall?

Yes, but its role is specific: the BrightSign XC2055 is the signage player that supplies the content signal. It stores and plays scheduled media, so a lobby screen, menu board or informational LED display does not need a computer left on-site just to keep content running.

For an LED wall, the BrightSign player’s HDMI output still needs to go into hardware that accepts and processes that signal. The NovaStar control system handles the LED-display work: a video processor or all-in-one controller accepts and scales the HDMI source, sending hardware outputs LED data, and receiving cards map that data to the LED modules. BrightSign handles the playlist, publishing method and playback reliability.

Move to XC4055 when the project needs four HDMI outputs or more graphics headroom. Stay with XT2145 when two outputs are needed but PC-class XC graphics and OS flexibility are not required.

BrightSign XC5 model comparison

Start with output resolution and I/O. Those two choices usually decide the right BrightSign model faster than a long feature list.

Model Best for Output tier Platform Choose it when
XC2055 Two-output enterprise signage Two HDMI outputs Intel Celeron / 8GB RAM You need two outputs and OS flexibility.
XC4055 Four-output enterprise signage Four HDMI outputs Intel i5 / 8GB RAM You need four outputs from one player.

BrightSign XC2055 FAQ

Why choose BrightSign XC2055 instead of XT2145?

Choose XC2055 when the two-output project needs PC-class graphics, richer HTML/OpenGL performance or OS flexibility. XT2145 is a strong two-output BrightSignOS player, but XC2055 is better for heavier visual workloads and enterprise multi-screen planning.

What is the difference between XC2055 and XC4055?

XC2055 provides two HDMI outputs. XC4055 provides four HDMI outputs and more graphics headroom, making it the better choice for larger multi-screen canvases, control rooms and more complex video wall source layouts.

Can XC2055 run two 4K outputs?

XC2055 is commonly planned around a dual-output 4K-style workflow, but the exact resolution, frame rate and content load should be confirmed before purchase. Multi-screen BrightSign presentations need the output count, orientation and timing planned up front.

Can XC2055 run Windows IoT?

XC5 players are offered with BrightSignOS or Windows IoT options depending on configuration. Choose the operating environment around the software stack the project actually needs, not just the number of HDMI outputs.

Is XC2055 a good source for a DVLED or LED video wall?

Yes, when the LED processor or control path can accept the planned HDMI outputs and resolution. XC2055 supplies the multi-output content source; NovaStar processing, sending hardware and receiving cards still handle the LED wall.

When should I not choose XC2055?

Do not choose XC2055 just because it is high-end if the project only needs one HDMI output, simple scheduled playback or basic signage loops. LS, HD, XD or XT models may be a cleaner fit for those jobs.

Is BrightSign XC2055 covered by a 5-year warranty?

New Series 5 players are eligible for BrightSign's registered 5-year hardware warranty program. Registration and BrightSign warranty terms apply; accessories, removable storage and separately purchased items are handled separately.

Do you offer bulk or project pricing for XC2055?

Yes. For DVLED, enterprise dashboards, control rooms, corporate rollouts or reseller orders, send the output plan, quantity and destination. We can quote XC2055 around the full project requirement.
