What is NovaStar H_1x 12G SDI input card?

The NovaStar™ H Series H_1x 12G SDI Input Card brings one compatible professional SDI source into a compatible H Series chassis. Connect a camera, router or production-switcher feed to 12G-SDI IN; the chassis can then include that picture in the layout it builds for the LED system.

The second BNC connector has a different job. 12G-SDI LOOP passes the same incoming signal onward to another planned SDI device. It does not add a second H Series source, create another screen layout or send data to LED cabinets.

Choose this card when the existing source is already SDI, one source input is sufficient and the source signal may also need to continue through a planned production chain. If the source needs scaling, format conversion or changing bit depth before it enters the chassis, resolve that upstream instead.

What the H_1x 12G SDI input card IN and LOOP ports do

The BNC connectors form a sequence, not two equal inputs. A source enters the card at IN. LOOP can then continue that same source to another planned SDI device. This distinction is what makes the card useful in a production chain without misrepresenting it as a two-source card.
