What is the NovaStar TU15 Pro?
The NovaStar TU15 Pro is an all-in-one processor for one indoor LED screen: an Android computer, a source switcher and the electronics that drive the wall, in a single 1.12 kg box with four network outputs. It carries 2,600,000 pixels and takes two HDMI sources.
Fit one where a fine-pitch wall has taken the place of a projector and the people using the room are not AV staff. A meeting room, a boardroom, a showroom, a training suite, a hotel function space.
What it takes out of your design is a stack of separate boxes. No media player, no presentation switcher, no wireless dongle, no controller in your rack. One box, one remote, one thing to explain at handover.
NovaStar TU15 Pro key features
One capacity number, whichever way the picture is fed
You get 2,600,000 pixels whether your picture is stretched to fit the wall or shown at its natural size. The larger model quotes two different figures instead, and the second one is lower than most people expect.
So your sizing here is one sum, and your document wall gets the same headroom as a video one.
The room still works when your network is down
Your content plays from the processor’s own storage and your sources plug straight into it, so a network outage does not take the screen with it. The built-in hotspot stays up for anyone who needs to put a laptop on the wall.
In a room that hosts your clients, that is one fewer thing to apologize for.
It goes on the wall or on a shelf, with no change to the screen
Two hanging brackets come in your carton and the box is 50.6 mm deep, so you can put it behind the wall, on a bracket beside it or on a credenza. NovaStar designed it to need no change to your screen structure.
At 1.12 kg the mounting is rarely your constraint. Where the cable enters is.
NovaStar TU15 Pro specifications
Check the capacity row against your wall and the output sizing row against its shape. A tall narrow screen can pass the height limit while still sitting well inside the pixel count.

How much wall does 2,600,000 pixels cover?
Multiply your wall’s width in pixels by its height and compare it with 2,600,000. Because this model quotes one figure rather than two, that single sum settles it either way you drive the screen.
Pitch does the damage, not the floor area. Your 12-foot by 6.5-foot wall at 2 mm pitch is roughly 1828 by 990 pixels, or 1,810,000, and fits. Take the same wall to 1.5 mm and it becomes 2438 by 1320, or 3,218,000, and it does not.
Check the shape as well as the total. Your picture can be 64 to 4096 pixels wide and 64 to 1920 high, so a portrait wall taller than that needs a different approach even when your pixel count looks comfortable.
Past either line, the TU20 Pro is the same box with six outputs. Well past it, a room this size is usually better served by a controller and a separate video processor.
Fitting one into a working room
Decide first where your box lives, because everything else follows from it. Behind the screen is tidiest, and it makes the remote a Bluetooth job rather than an infrared one. A shelf or a credenza keeps the sockets reachable for visitors with cables.
Plan your room to switch itself off. The relay contact on the rear block will drive a contactor, so your LED wall powers down with the room while the processor drops under half a watt and waits for the handset.
Give it air. The rated range stops at +50°C, which is generous in your office and less so in a closed cabinet with a network switch and an amplifier beside it.
Set the picture mode before you hand over. The meeting setting is calmer than the vivid one, and a boardroom left on vivid is the first complaint you will hear.
TU15 Pro or TU20 Pro — where the extra outputs earn their place
Both boxes give you the same size, weight, processor, feature set and accessories. Only the output count and the capacity change.
| Model | TU15 Pro · TU20 Pro |
|---|---|
| Screen outputs | 4 · 6 |
| Capacity, scaled | 2,600,000 · 3,900,000 |
| Capacity, native | 2,600,000 · 2,880,000 |
| Video at once | identical on both |
| Size and weight | identical on both |
| Price | $669 · $1,075 |
Order the TU15 Pro for any wall of yours inside 2,600,000 pixels. At native size the larger model adds only 280,000 pixels, which across a screen 2000 pixels wide is a strip 140 pixels tall — rarely worth $406.
Order the TU20 Pro when the picture is scaled rather than native, where its 3,900,000 figure is real, or when six cable routes into the wall would shorten the runs enough to matter.
TU15 Pro datasheet, manual and firmware
NovaStar publishes one manual for this model and the TU20 Pro together, plus a firmware package and release notes for the TU15 Pro on its own. Check your firmware version at commissioning rather than after a fault. A room that has sat unused for a year is usually behind.
Record your screen layout, picture mode and network settings on handover. Those three are what a replacement box needs, and they are the three your end user is most likely to have changed without telling you.
NovaStar TU15 Pro FAQ
How big a wall will one TU15 Pro drive?
2,600,000 pixels, and that figure holds whether the picture is scaled to the wall or shown at its natural size. The picture itself can be 64 to 4096 pixels wide and 64 to 1920 high.
Do I need a separate controller or sending card?
No. It drives the receiving cards in your cabinets directly from its four Gigabit outputs, so nothing else goes in the rack.
Can visitors put their laptops on the screen?
Yes, wirelessly from Windows, macOS, iOS or Android, or through one of the two HDMI inputs. A phone running the ViPlex Handy app can also drive the screen from the floor.
Does it run video-conferencing apps?
Yes. It runs an Android 11 desktop and accepts third-party apps, so a conferencing client or a room-booking display can sit alongside the presentation sources.
Is annotation on the screen included?
No. Drawing and commenting need a whiteboard activation code bought separately, so put it on the quote if the room brief calls for marking up documents.
What is in the carton?
The processor, a power adapter, a Bluetooth voice remote with batteries, an Ethernet cable, an HDMI cable, three antennas, two hanging brackets, a QR card and a certificate.
How much power does it draw when the room is empty?
Under half a watt in standby, woken by the infrared handset. The relay contact on the rear will also switch the LED wall itself through a contactor.
Can I connect a camera or a touch frame?
Yes, both are supported along with a sound system, though NovaStar confirms compatible models case by case. Bluetooth 5.1 handles up to seven peripherals at the same time.
What warranty covers a TU15 Pro?
Three years of serial-tracked manufacturer coverage, because these processors come through our authorized US NovaStar channel.
Can I get volume pricing or Net 30 terms?
Yes, and a multi-room fit-out is exactly the case to ask about. Send the model and the quantity for volume pricing. Purchase orders and Net 30 terms may be available for approved schools, government buyers, venues and established integrators.
How do I order a TU15 Pro?
Pricing here is per processor. Orders placed before 3 PM ET on in-stock items ship the same business day from Florida. Contact us to confirm current availability.
